My first official friday off!

which means, I have my first official 4 day work week. I woke up leisurely, had myself a lovely breakfast, my own special muesli. You know it is really worth while making your own and not much trouble. Ofcourse belending it myself means I know what goes in it. I use only stuff from the health store, wich is all organic, and sustainably produced. *grins as I am sounding like a health freak* This is enough for a whole month, if you eat the muesli EVERY day. My recipe is:


500 gr./1 lb 1 oz ryeflakes (33 p)
500 gr./ 1 lb 1 oz oatflakes (33 p)
200 gr./ 7 oz pumpkinseeds (30 p)
500 gr./1 lb 1 oz raisins (25 p)
TOTAL 1700 gr./ 3 lb 11 oz (120 p)
50 gr./1.75 oz = 3.5 p (or 3,5 slice of rye bread)


DELICIOUS, NUTRICIOUS, HEALTHY!

In the morning I have 50 gr. of the stuff with 250 ml of skimmed milk (if possible all arganic), I add a diced applea when I cook it in the microwave, and tangerine cut into small pieces in the last 30 seconds. Some cinnamon, if need be some sweetner.

Some nutricional background

pumpkinseeds contain, amonst others omega 3 en 6 acids (so if you do not like fish, a good alternative) and zinc! They will give you shiney hair, a youthful supple skin, help your brain to function better, more concentration, help you concentrate, protect against infections.
The oats and rye contain powerful rejuvebating anti oxydants that fight the free radicals (always have to think of James Bond!). it keeps the blood sugar levels straight, can fight diabetes 2, lower cholesterol, and has a positive effect on heart conditions, OBESITAS and eye problems.

In general it should be noted that grains are in themselves a small parcel of goodness. A small wonder that contains EVERYthing that a plant needs to develop and grow into something carring a thousandfold in nutritional value. Soaking them in water overnight, and as a breakfast food, either boiled in milk, used in quarck or yoghurt, can really benefit you.

Oh yes, and it has a positive effect on your bowels!

I take time again every day to plan my daily intake. because if I learned anything from the past 8 monts it is that planning HELPS. It helps me keep my mittens off too much, too fat, too sweet. The 17.5 lbs/8 KG i gained in 6 weeks have not been deposited where they were, a little bit everywhere around, but are right smack visible in the centre of my body at the front, resting on my stomach, and they bother me when I have a jeans on! So they WILL go off, and if it is up to me...FAST!

Planning, goals and limits

87 kg/192 lbs is my goal, and I hope to reach it without ending up with too much loose skin. I will be in the two figures in the metric systm, NEVER EVER to get back in the three figures, and below 200 lbs in the "other"system, NEVER EVER to get over 200 again. Both leave me some "elbow room" when there are parties and such, 3 kg/8 lbs. When the needle goes up, I plan to be strong enough to arrest the upward trend before I reach the red zone of 90 kg/200 lbs.

Goal 4 - 1st Centenial - 100 lbs lost

It suddenly dawned on me I can set myself a goal without a timeline attached to it. Just the weight is goal enough. So goal 4 to reach: 100 lbs weightloss!

weightloss: 45.8 kg/100 lbs/7 st 1. lbs
starting weight: 172.8kg/380.9 lbs/27 st. 3 lbs
goal:127.8 kg/281.8 lbs/20 st 1.7 lb

This will also get me out of the over 40 BMI range


A wonder

It is quite a wonder to think about such goals, and know, feel, believe it is possible. I can do it!
